Wrong Train

In development. Closed preview. Availability varies by tool.

What each part of Wrong Train is for.

Wrong Train is being built for neurodivergent adults in their first years of work, to keep what a workplace message says apart from what it might mean. Four parts make that up: an iPhone app, a planned watch companion, a research tool, and the engine behind them. This page says what each one is for, how it fits with the others, and what you can use today.

Four entries are not four finished products. Each one carries its own status.

Apps

The personal experience: one app in development and one planned companion.

Wrong Train for iPhone

Status: In development No public download. The closed preview mentioned on this site is by invitation only.

An iPhone app, in development, to help you organize context and work through unclear workplace messages one layer at a time.

Where it fits
The personal app: the main way Wrong Train is meant to be used.
What you can do today
Read the example on the home page, and email about the preview if this would help in your working day. Emailing is not a signup and does not give access.
Limits
Nothing on this site analyzes your messages. What the app does at release may differ from this description.

Wrong Train for Apple Watch

Status: Planned Nothing to install yet.

A planned wrist companion for a quick note and for keeping your chosen next step in view.

Where it fits
A companion to the iPhone app, not a separate analysis tool.
What you can do today
Nothing to try yet. This entry exists so you know what the watch is meant for, and what it is not.
Limits
Recording, transcription, reminders and background monitoring are not part of the plan described here. Plans can change before release.

Research and engine

What works behind the tools. Neither is a public app, and neither is offered on its own.

Research Scout

Status: Behind the tools Not a standalone public app.

Research discovery and evaluation for the library behind Wrong Train. It finds candidate research and evaluates it automatically.

Where it fits
Research tooling behind the library that informs how Wrong Train is built. It is not part of the app.
What you can do today
Nothing to open. This entry is its public overview.
Limits
Automated evaluation is not a person reading a source, and not every candidate is read by a person. It works on published research, not on anyone's messages.

SESHAT Engine

Status: Behind the tools Its workspace is private, with no public sign-in.

The engine behind the approach: source material, possible readings and open questions, kept apart, with a record of where each came from.

Where it fits
The review layer Wrong Train is built on. The app is meant to draw on it; that connection is not built yet.
What you can do today
Nothing to sign in to. This entry is its public overview.
Limits
It does not read minds, diagnose anyone, or decide what a message meant. It keeps what was said, what might be read into it, and what is still unknown apart, and it says which is which.

How they fit together

One line, four stops. A solid line is a connection that exists today, behind the scenes. A dashed line is planned. The words say the same thing.

Research moves one way, from published sources toward the tools. By design, a message you review is not research material: it is not sent to Research Scout, the library, or anywhere public.

Questions

Are these four separate products?

No. There is one product in development, the iPhone app, with a planned watch companion. Research Scout and the SESHAT engine work behind the scenes and are not offered on their own.

Can I sign in to SESHAT or Research Scout?

No. Neither has a public sign-in. Each entry on this page says whether there is something to open.

Where would my messages go?

Nothing on this site takes a message. The app is being designed so that what you review stays yours and does not become research material.

Email about the preview

Opens a draft in your own email app, addressed to research@wrongtrain.org. Nothing is sent until you send it.

A person at Wrong Train reads that address. Writing is not a signup, does not join a waitlist, and does not give access. A reply is not guaranteed.

Please do not include workplace messages, client information, or personal records.
