Wrong Train · Research Note

Noticing what repeats, quietly and in your own words.

Wrong Train explores how people can privately record, structure, and review difficult interpersonal and workplace dynamics over time. Nothing here is launched. This page shares the direction of the work and invites quiet inquiry. It is not therapy and not diagnosis.

Development status

Where the work is right now.

  • Foundational research Active Reading, listening, and mapping how people already make sense of repeated difficult dynamics, before any product decisions are fixed.
  • Prototyping In progress, early Small, internal prototypes used to test ideas. These are working sketches, not features, and they are expected to change or be set aside.
  • Safety review Ongoing Each direction is examined for how it could affect a person in a hard moment. Review continues alongside the work, not after it.
Estimated closed-preview window Late 2026 This is an estimate that reflects current intent. It is a direction, not a launch date, and it may move as the research and safety review continue. There is no public release planned.

Product direction

What the work is trying to build.

  1. 01 · Record

    Record

The intention is to let a person capture a moment while it is still fresh, in their own words. A low-friction note, not a form to perform for.

  2. 02 · Clarify

    Clarify

The intention is to help separate what happened from what it may have meant, keeping observation and interpretation in distinct, visible layers.

  3. 03 · Review

    Review

The intention is to let a person revisit entries over time and notice what repeats. Gentle pattern recognition, without scoring and without judgment.

These are design intentions. None of them are finished features, and each may change as the research continues.

03

Research and safety posture

Principles the work is designing toward.

  • Privacy as a precondition

Private review is only possible if the record stays private. Privacy is being treated as a design constraint, not as a setting added later.

  • Non-diagnostic by design

Wrong Train is being designed to describe patterns, not to label people or assign conditions. It is not therapy and not diagnosis.

  • Safety-aware in hard moments

Where the work touches risk, the intention is to point clearly toward trusted human support rather than to stand in for it.

  • Slow and reviewable progress

The project is being built slowly, in steps that can be inspected. External review from researchers and safety specialists is welcomed.

There is no public waitlist and no general signup. If your interest is considered and specific, quiet outreach is welcome. A single contact path is read by the people doing the work.
